Pros: Fixed camera angles. Eldritch entities. Decent and interesting puzzles. The dread creeps up on you instead of blaring in your face. Stunning locations. The artwork is Gorgeous, notably the tarot deck collectibles in episode 4. Replayability - the scares are randomized on each playthrough. Cons: personally i'm not a fan of quick time events so i didn't quite like some of the minigames or the permadeath feature (that being said, it definitely raises the stakes), but if that's your thing you'd enjoy this more! however, if you wish to avoid permadeath on your first playthrough, you can play it on "E.T.A. Hoffman" mode, but i highly suggest trying out the other difficulties after your initial experience. Additional Comments: the difficulty levels are named after authors well-known for their horror and macabre literature, which is cool, but it would've been cooler if one of the difficulties was named after Mary Shelley. overall, a solid instalment in the indie horror category and one of my favorites.
