i've greatly enjoyed my time in this game. really glad that there's a lot more variety of monsters compared to world's abundance of wyverns. first monster hunter game where i'm greatly attached to my hunter thanks to how they actually gain a proper role in the story and aren't just a face and body you control (or a side character like on world, i'm replaying it right now and good god your only relevance is being the handler's hunter). unfathomable amounts of aura farming during cutscenes erik best boy (i love world btw it surely doesnt seem like it here but im very fond of it) however i main the insect glaive and some of the changes they've done are questionable at best... i have not switched weapons regardless but it definitely feels clunkier than how it played in world. lagiacrus' underwater mechanics are damn annoying though i hate it when game devs design a fight that is a spectacle the first time you do it but just a time waster and boring every single time after that. i think im just rambling now so i'll just finish it off with this zoh shia really cool final boss but not cooler than shara ishvalda
